ABOUT ME

Who I Am

ABOUT

A data-driven enthusiast with demonstrated skills and experience in database systems, software, and languages graduating in December 2020 with my master's degree from Texas &M University and actively looking for full-time opportunities in the field of data science, data analytics, or business intelligence. I completed my bachelor's degree in 2018 and my interest to learn and discover more motivated me to apply for the master's program in the very same year.

I am an IBM Certified Data Science Professional with hands-on experience in data extraction, cleaning, analysis, and visualization. My skill set- both technical & analytical along with an excellent grasp on coding since my high school showcases my potential as an analyst. I consider myself curious, judgmental,  innovative, and argumentative in solving data-driven problems and have done a bunch of projects which relate to predictive analytics and inference using statistical techniques. I have also secured 2nd position all over the university in Data Science Competition 2019.

With my prior internship experience and domain knowledge, I aspire to take up a role as an analyst within your organization to drive business decisions and provide engineering and optimization solutions to your company.

What I have Applied

1. PREDICTION OF BROOKLYN HOME SALE PRICE AND EXPLORATORY DATA ANALYSIS
Capture.JPG

Project Approach

Models Implemented

1. "Brooklyn is the neighborhood of New York City that has developed the most in the last ten years. Since 2006 real estate prices have increased significantly.

2. The low availability and the increasing demand, has made Brooklyn properties to hit record numbers. In the first quarter of 2018, the median selling price rose to $800,000, a 3.5% increase from previous prices.

3. If in need to purchase a property in the area, it is extremely important to be able to predict what the actual price for a home is so that one can find better opportunities, and also no overpay for properties with inflated prices."

After fitting and analyzing each model, we found that:

Boosting and Random forest produce good accuracy but yield poor interpretability.

Whereas,

Multiple Linear Regression, Lasso Regression, Ridge Regression produce a less accurate result, but more interpretable models

Building class of property, Year of Sale and the Gross Square foot of property were found to be most important factors affecting the Brooklyn Home sales Price

2. DATA ANALYSIS USING NEIGHBORHOOD SEGMENTATION
Picture1.png

1. Bay area is quite expensive and for students relocating here especially, it is important to have options to figure out a cost-efficient way of living.

2. Objective of this project is to have a narrower list of apartments filter out based on the easy commute and lively neighborhood

3. Target audience for this project is anyone (mostly for students since they should not have restrictions for any particular location ) relocating to a particular area

Mr. Agrawal is quick to adapt to any work environment and excelled beyond our expectations. He was also able to work in an international cultural environment on this project. We were very fortunate to have had the opportunity to hire Saksham Agrawal and found him to be a very valuable staff member for this short-term project.

Dr. Suzanne Droleskey

Executive Director, Public Partnership & Outreach , TAMU

It is indeed my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Mr. Saksham Agrawal. He was under my tutelage in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, S.V.I.T.S Indore during the last two years of his undergraduate studies curriculum. As a student, I have found that Saksham has a very sound understanding of engineering as well as mathematical concepts and has a sharp analytical mind. He has a very good grasping power and is quite sincere and hardworking.  The most significant quality I have observed in him is his willingness to learn. I am highly impressed by his excellent ability to deal pragmatically and innovatively in solving a problem.

Mr. Santosh Yadav

Assistant Professor, SVITS

Saksham Agrawal has been a student of our institute. With great insight and innovativeness, he has brought both honor and development to our college by representing our college in an International paper publication. I have known him for 3 years and taught him "Operation Research & Supply Chain Management" and have continuously monitored his acumen and approach and it is a pleasure to say that he has raised the bar each time.

Mr. Saksharn Agrawal has asked me to write a letter of recommendation to accompany his application ar your esteemed university. lt is a true pleasure to provide a reference for such a gifted student who is amongst the best of his highly competitive and highly talented class. He is a very promising student with a professional attitude. Saksham made intelligent and insightful contributions during the classroom discussions, but it
was in the practical lab that his enthusiasm shone- During Lab sessions he displayed his creativity and his ability to apply theoretical knowledge into practice, which is genuinely commendable
